An anticyclonic system of Atlantic origin is affecting the Mediterranean basin, causing renewed conditions of marked instability today, locally characterised by moderate to heavy rainfall.

Thursday, February 19, 2024: mostly cloudy skies in the morning. From the afternoon an increase in cloudiness is expected with associated light scattered rains on the eastern sectors; along the western Apennines, rains are not excluded, even in the form of showers or thunderstorms. Friday, February 20, 2024: renewed bad weather conditions across the entire region, with cloudy to very cloudy skies and associated rain, including showers or thunderstorms, more likely in the sub-Apennine areas. Light snowfall is forecast on the main reliefs in the morning. An improvement is expected in the evening.
