We are glad to inform you that the pre-enrolment to the Laurea Magistrale (Master) in Atmospheric Science and Technology (LMAST) is open:
– for non-EU students till August 31, 2020 through LMAST online pre-selection platform and Universitaly webpage for visa application;
– for EU students till Sept. 15, 2020 through LMAST online pre-selection platform.
Note that non-EU students are requested to ask for a visa to the local Italian embassy whose deadline this year will be extended till 30 November 2020. But do present the visa request as soon as possibile, no later than August 31, 2020 since embassy procedures can be as long as some months.
LMAST is a Master of Science (MSc) degree in the Physics class (LM-17 in Italy), organized as an international inter-university program, jointly proposed by the Sapienza University of Rome and University of L’Aquila. The unique feature of LMAST program is to educate master students with solid knowledge and specific skills in the domain of atmospheric science from a physics and an engineering perspective.
The LMAST graduate can obtain the Statement of learning curriculum conformity to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Recommendation 1083 “Guide to the implementation and education and training standards in meteorology and hydrology”, officially approved by the WMO National Permanent Representative.
Note that, due to the current COVID-19 worldwide scenario, the first (and possibly second) semester of the next LMAST academic year 2020-21 will be organized on the e-teaching/e-learning basis. The latter is based on the Google Meet/Classroom, MS Teams and Moodle platforms. Written and oral exams will be planned as homeworks and video-exams with all validation and quality-check criteria ensured (see also here).
